Discover tools designed to help States Parties translate Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) commitments into effective operational practice. This side event, co-organized by GICHD, the OAS, and the EU, showcases practical solutions to strengthen national arms transfer controls, improve information management, and enhance international cooperation to prevent diversion.

Participants will be introduced to the Arms and Ammunition Management Validation System (AAMVS), a self-assessment tool that helps exporting countries factor stockpile management capabilities into their diversion risk assessments, and the Regional Communication Mechanism on Licit Transfers of Firearms and Ammunition (MCTA), a secure platform for real-time information exchange between competent authorities. National partners who tested these tools will share practical experiences and lessons learned. The event will also highlight how these tools can support institutional modernization and strengthen ATT implementation.

Join us to learn more about these tools, available to support ATT States Parties in implementation and diversion prevention.
